Through our work in Jordan, NIMD supports young people to make their voices heard. Our training imparts the knowledge and skills they need to positively and actively engage in politics in their country. We talked to some of the participants of our youth training programme to see what they learned and how these new skills and knowledge will help them to advance in their political careers. NIMD has launched its Political Academies Programme for young people in Jordan. Through this programme, we are working in partnership with the Jordanian Ministry of Youth to provide basic political knowledge to young people who are interested in politics but don’t have the channels to engage politically. Last week in Amman, NIMD officially launched the Jordan School of Politics (JSoP). Joining us in Amman were government officials, diplomats, INGOs, NGOs, UN agencies, political parties, and the JSoP participants themselves. JSoP is how NIMD's “Capacity Building for Politically Active Youth” programme is going to reach people across Jordan's political spectrum.
