This week in Myanmar, NIMD partner the Myanmar School of Politics (MySoP) opened up its newest course. Alongside Dutch mediation experts Result Mediation, MySoP is giving staff at Myanmar's Union Election Commission (UEC) the chance to enroll in intensive three-day courses on mediation techniques. The Myanmar School of Politics (a joint programme run by NIMD and Demo Finland) has launched two publications to promote gender equality in political parties in Myanmar. The publications are part of the EU-funded STEP Democracy project. The Myanmar School of Politics (MySoP) successfully completed its 13th Core Course, an intensive political training course for Kayin State, on 15 November 2018 at Bago Metta Center. The 11th Myanmar School of Politics Core Course - an intensive political training course - came to an end in Hsipaw township, Shan State on 5 April. The 11th edition of the Myanmar School of Politics (MySoP) core course kicked off in Shan State (North) Myanmar on 20 March 2018.
