LEAP4Peace Consortium Wraps Up in Bogotá

The LEAP4Peace (Leadership and Political Participation of Women for Peace) programme has come to an end. This paper is part of a series of papers looking at a central theme of innovative and transformative approaches to the systems and structures of peacebuilding, with a focus on a bottom-up approach by local and community women peacebuilders. In 2025 and 2027, the small East African country of Burundi will navigate key elections. The first will be legislative and local government elections in 2025, followed by presidential elections in 2027. Burundi: Youth join forces for peaceful and inclusive elections

Youth from across the political divide in Burundi have elected a multiparty group of 36 politically active young people to advocate for peaceful, democratic and inclusive elections in 2020.
