#CentAmDebate: Pictures from NIMD’s largest public debate on Central America’s future

At the start of November 2018, NIMD was proud to be part of the Big Central America Debate at the Rode Hoed in Amsterdam. Organized by NIMD, in cooperation with CNV InternationaalFree Press UnlimitedHivosImpunity Watch, and Vice Versa, the event was a rare chance for Dutch actors from politics, the media and NGOs, as well as the wider community, to come together and discuss the political future of Central America. Some of the most prominent political experts from Central America flew in to Amsterdam for the event, where they were joined by Dutch commentators and analysts. Addressing a packed auditorium, the evening of panel discussion, dialogue and debate explored the current situation in Central America and the role of the Netherlands in improving the lives of the people living there.

Be sure to take a look through the photo gallery below to see just how busy and lively the evening was. Registration for #CentAmDebate had to be closed early due to over-subscription, so be sure to follow NIMD on twitter and facebook so you don’t miss out on future events!
