Er gebeurt veel in de Sahel-regio. Met de recente staatsgrepen in Mali en Burkina Faso beginnen deze landen nu aan overgangsprocessen die hun toekomst zullen bepalen.
\nEn in Niger is de eerste democratische machtsoverdracht in 2021 een nieuwe mijlpaal voor de jonge democratie.<\/p>\n

Ons evenement<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Op 11 oktober werkte NIMD samen met PAX voor vrede<\/a> een evenement te organiseren over de relaties tussen de Sahel en Nederland in deze veranderende wereld. We willen onderzoeken wat de nieuwe ontwikkelingen in de regio betekenen voor het Nederlandse beleid, te beginnen met het begrijpen van de perspectieven van mensen in de regio.<\/p>\n

We onderzochten hoe mensen tegen deze politieke en sociale ontwikkelingen aankijken en hoe ze de reactie van nationale en internationale actoren waarderen.<\/p>\n
