Op 10 maart organiseert het NIMD samen met de Gender Meer Partijen Initiatief (Gender MPI)<\/a> en WO=MEN - Nederlands Gender Platform<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Leren van ervaring<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Het interactieve evenement, dat in het Nederlands wordt gehouden, zoomt in op de ervaringen van het Gender MPI.<\/p>\n

Dit initiatief werkt al vier jaar in de Tweede Kamer voor gendergelijkheid en vrouwenrechten, zowel wereldwijd als in Nederland.<\/p>\n

Nu de verkiezingen naderen, is het tijd om de balans op te maken.<\/p>\n

Wat waren de grootste successen van het gender MPI? Wat is mislukt? En wat zijn de ambities voor de volgende ambtstermijn?<\/p>\n

Het programma<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We zullen deze vragen bespreken met Gender MPI Co-Chairs en huidige MP's Kirsten van den Hul<\/a> (PvdA-partij) en Zohair El Yassini<\/a> (VVD-partij).<\/p>\n

Daarnaast zullen we debatteren over de politieke vertegenwoordiging van vrouwen en de internationale gelijkheidsagenda voor de komende jaren.<\/p>\n

En omdat het verkiezingstijd is in Nederland, gaan we ook in gesprek met een aantal kandidaten. Zij zullen uitleggen waarom en hoe zij zich willen inzetten voor gendergelijkheid en vrouwenrechten als zij worden gekozen als parlementslid.<\/p>\n

Thijs Berman, directeur van NIMD, zal het evenement openen met een inleiding over het thema politieke vertegenwoordiging van vrouwen en Laila Ait Baali, directeur van WO=MEN, zal de sessie modereren.<\/p>\n
