{"id":18878,"date":"2020-03-18T16:58:43","date_gmt":"2020-03-18T16:58:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nimd.org\/jordans-school-of-politics-welcomes-new-cohort-of-politically-engaged-youth\/"},"modified":"2025-06-20T04:16:29","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T04:16:29","slug":"jordans-school-of-politics-welcomes-new-cohort-of-politically-engaged-youth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nimd.org\/nl\/jordans-school-of-politics-welcomes-new-cohort-of-politically-engaged-youth\/","title":{"rendered":"Jordan's School of Politics verwelkomt nieuw cohort politiek ge\u00ebngageerde jongeren"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Voortbouwend op het succes van de Jordan School of Politics (JSoP) in 2019 heeft NIMD Jordani\u00eb een nieuw cohort politiek gemotiveerde jongeren verwelkomd om deel te nemen aan de tweede editie van de school.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Wat is JSoP<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>JSoP biedt jongeren uit het hele politieke spectrum van Jordani\u00eb kennis en vaardigheden om hun politieke participatie te vergroten. Het gaat om het delen van kennis tussen jonge aspirant-politici in het land en om hen te helpen van elkaars ervaringen te leren.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10123\" src=\"http:\/\/nimd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/89579439_526035904749313_2892801503402131456_o-e1584982640598.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"251\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>JSoP in 2020<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Omdat de fysieke bijeenkomsten in Jordani\u00eb momenteel zijn opgeschort vanwege de wereldwijde COVID-19 crisis, staan de JSoP-activiteiten momenteel stil. We kijken er echter naar uit om de training weer op te pakken met ons nieuwe cohort, zodra dit mogelijk is.<\/p>\n<p>Het programma voor 2020 omvat:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Training over belangrijke politieke onderwerpen en vaardigheden die nodig zijn om een politieke carri\u00e8re op te bouwen<\/li>\n<li>Interactieve discussies met hooggeplaatste politici en overheidsfunctionarissen over onderwerpen die relevant zijn voor de Jordaanse politieke context.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dit jaar zullen 46 nieuwe deelnemers met verschillende achtergronden en politieke standpunten niet alleen leren van trainers, maar ook hun eigen standpunten delen en de interactie aangaan met hun medestudenten. De deelnemers zijn 50%-vrouwen en komen uit het hele land.<\/p>\n<p>We zijn ervan overtuigd dat deze jonge mensen, wanneer ze afstuderen, beter ge\u00efnformeerd zullen zijn, met een dieper begrip van politiek en de overtuiging dat inclusieve politiek het vinden van een constructieve manier vereist om samen te werken ondanks verschillen.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10128\" src=\"http:\/\/nimd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/90083614_526036631415907_2195370862608121856_o-e1584982689893.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"307\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>De mening van de student<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In de aanloop naar de nieuwe editie van JSoP sprak NIMD met een aantal huidige en voormalige studenten om hun mening en verwachtingen van de school te weten te komen.<\/p>\n<p>Deema Kharabsheh, deelnemer aan het programma voor 2019:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"De grootste waarde van JSoP is ongetwijfeld de interactie met zo'n diverse groep.\"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10139\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10139\" style=\"width: 580px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10139\" src=\"http:\/\/nimd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Deema-scaled-e1585142732311.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"314\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10139\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Deema Kharabsheh spreekt studenten toe tijdens de eerste editie van JSoP.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mohd Awad, een deelnemer aan het 2020-programma:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"Mijn reden om lid te worden is om mijn vaardigheden te ontwikkelen en deze in te zetten in mijn eigen werk. Ik ben bezig met het opzetten van een onderzoeksbureau. De sleutel voor mij is dus een beter begrip van de acroniemen en terminologie en het gebruik ervan in mijn eigen werk en activiteiten.\"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Een andere nieuwe student, Wala Hasan:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"Mijn reden om lid te worden is om kennis en vaardigheden te ontwikkelen en manieren te onderzoeken om politiek actiever te worden. Dit is vooral belangrijk omdat vrouwen te maken hebben met een grotere uitdaging, negatieve stereotypering en een samenleving die hen niet serieus neemt.\"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3><strong>Kansen in 2020<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Later in het jaar hoopt het NIMD de best presterende JSoP-studenten uit te nodigen voor een reeks van <a href=\"https:\/\/nimd.org\/nl\/mena-youth-forum-for-democracy-a-regional-exchange\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Regionale forums<\/a>. Deze fora, die in 2019 van start zijn gegaan, hebben tot doel de samenwerking tussen de MENA-regio's te bevorderen. Samen kunnen deze jongeren de belemmeringen voor inclusieve politieke systemen aanpakken; beste praktijken uitwisselen op het gebied van de ontwikkeling van politieke carri\u00e8res voor jongeren; en mondiger worden door kennis over elkaars landen en andere democratie\u00ebn.<\/p>\n<p>Als de situatie bij COVID-19 het toelaat, krijgen de JSoP-studenten bovendien de kans om mee te doen aan de parlementsverkiezingen in Jordani\u00eb in september 2020. Dit is een uitstekende gelegenheid voor de JSoP-studenten om praktische rollen op zich te nemen, zoals campagne voeren voor kandidaten, informatie verstrekken aan kiezers of debatten houden.<\/p>\n<p>Door middel van al deze activiteiten wil NIMD Jordani\u00eb de samenwerking tussen studenten met verschillende politieke achtergronden stimuleren, de deelname van vrouwen aan de politiek ondersteunen en deze nieuwe generatie uitrusten met de vaardigheden die ze nodig hebben om actief deel te nemen aan de politiek.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Voortbouwend op het succes van de Jordan School of Politics (JSoP) in 2019 heeft NIMD Jordani\u00eb een nieuw cohort politiek gemotiveerde jongeren verwelkomd om deel te nemen aan de tweede editie van de school.
