Perspectieven uit Mali"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>De democratie ligt overal ter wereld onder vuur. Maar ondanks de uitdagingen biedt geen enkel ander politiek systeem ons dezelfde bescherming, kansen en vrijheid. Democratie geeft mensen echt inspraak; het betekent dat ze betrokken worden bij de belangrijke beslissingen in hun land of gemeenschap en dat ze hun stem kunnen laten horen door middel van dialoog - in plaats van geweld.<\/p>\n<p>NIMD's <a href=\"http:\/\/nimd.org\/nl\/democracy-is\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#DemocratieIs<\/a> campagne onderstreept de waarde en het belang van democratie. Door enkele van de cruciale waarden te laten zien die aan de democratie ten grondslag liggen, dringen we er bij mensen op aan om democratie niet als vanzelfsprekend te beschouwen.<\/p>\n<p>En door mensen te vragen wat democratie voor hen betekent - welke impact het heeft in hun leven - hopen we een broodnodig debat op gang te brengen over de rol van democratie in de samenlevingen van vandaag.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 960px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-18769-1\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"http:\/\/nimd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/NIMD_Dialogue_LR.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/nimd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/NIMD_Dialogue_LR.mp4\">http:\/\/nimd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/NIMD_Dialogue_LR.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<h6><em>Voor ons is democratie inclusiviteit, meerdere partijen, dialoog, vreedzame verkiezingen en verantwoording. <\/em><\/h6>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Een Malinees perspectief<\/h3>\n<p>Toen onze landvertegenwoordiger van Mail de campagne gebruikte om te vragen wat democratie betekent voor de mensen in Mali, waren we overweldigd door het inzicht en de diversiteit van de antwoorden.<br \/>\nVelen sloten zich aan bij onze overtuiging dat democratie het beste systeem is om gelijkheid te garanderen.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en-gb\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"fr\">La d\u00e9mocratie pour moi est la meilleure syst\u00e8me pour diriger un pays car avec elle c'est le peuple qui choisi son destin.<\/p>\n<p>- Mohamed choge Dembele (@DembeleChoge) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DembeleChoge\/status\/1095008881141526528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">11 februari 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h6><em>\"Voor mij is democratie het beste systeem om een land te besturen, want met democratie kiest het volk zijn lot.\"\u00a0<\/em><\/h6>\n<p>En anderen richtten zich op de technische definitie van democratie, met een interessant historisch perspectief.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en-gb\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"fr\">La d\u00e9mocratie est un mot venant de la grecque antique demos et cratie pouvoir du peuple ou de la majorit\u00e9 .<br \/>\nla democratie moderne est le pouvoir de la majorit\u00e9 en tenu compte des droits fondamental dict\u00e9e apr\u00e9s la seconde mondiale appel\u00e9 droit de l'homme au sens de nation unis .<\/p>\n<p>- Diallo Alhakimou (@alhakimou) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/alhakimou\/status\/1094883698602901505?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">11 februari 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h6><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/h6>\n<h6><em>\"Democratie is een woord dat afstamt van de Oudgriekse woorden '<\/em>demo's<em>\u2018\u00a0<\/em><em>en\u00a0<\/em>cratie', <em>wat de macht van het volk of de meerderheid betekent.
