De Myanmar School of Politics (MySoP)<\/a> kondigt met trots de voltooiing van haar 12th<\/sup>\u00a0intensieve politieke training in Shan State (Zuid), Myanmar.<\/p>\n

Tijdens de training, die voor de tweede keer werd gehouden in de deelstaat Shan, studeerden 28 hooggeplaatste politici op deelstaatniveau van 14 politieke partijen af, samen met \u00e9\u00e9n ambtenaar van de Election Sub Commission.<\/p>\n

Tijdens de ceremonie hielden Wouter Jurgens, ambassadeur van Nederland in Myanmar, Tin Oo, advocaat-generaal van de staat Shan, en Htin Kyaw, voorzitter van de verkiezingssubcommissie (staat Shan), toespraken.<\/p>\n

Reflecterend op de ervaring van deelname aan de MySoP Core Course in Shan State (Zuid), merkte de heer Jurgens in zijn toespraak op: \"Als ik deze groep (van afgestudeerden van MySoP core course) zie, kan ik alleen maar optimistisch zijn. Jullie zijn politici die weten wat jullie kiezers willen. En jullie weten ook hoe jullie moeten samenwerken om beleid te maken dat vooruitgang en een betere toekomst voor Myanmar cre\u00ebert...Ik ben echt blij om hier vandaag te zijn om jullie te feliciteren als een nieuwe generatie bruggenbouwers en ik ben blij om samen met jullie feest te vieren.\"<\/p>\n

Over de partijgrenzen heen bestudeerden de afgestudeerden onderwerpen als politieke theorie, gender in de politiek, verkiezingsregels en -reglementen, planning van partijprogramma's en hoe te functioneren als politicus op staatsniveau. De deelnemers voerden ook een landenvergelijking uit met Indonesi\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Trainers uit Myanmar, Nederland en Indonesi\u00eb voerden de 17-daagse cursus uit van 24 juli tot 9 augustus 2018 in Nyaung Shwe township, Shan State, Myanmar.<\/p>\n
