Leopold Ahouandjinou, Tesorero General de Moele Ben\u00edn.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>El 11 de junio, NIMD Ben\u00edn organiz\u00f3 un taller para parlamentarios y representantes de partidos pol\u00edticos, el Ministerio del Interior, el Tribunal Supremo, el Tribunal Constitucional, la Comisi\u00f3n Electoral, grupos anticorrupci\u00f3n y cient\u00edficos sociales sobre el coste de la pol\u00edtica en el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>El dinero puede influir mucho en el acceso a la pol\u00edtica, ya que el coste de dirigir una campa\u00f1a pol\u00edtica resulta prohibitivo en muchos pa\u00edses. Al mismo tiempo, la posibilidad de comprar votos puede concentrar injustamente el poder en manos de quienes pueden y est\u00e1n dispuestos a pagarlo.<\/p>\n<p>En el marco del taller, el Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Emp\u00edrica en Econom\u00eda Pol\u00edtica (IREEP) de la Escuela Africana de Econom\u00eda (ASE) present\u00f3 el estudio Cost of Politics, encargado por el NIMD. Este estudio, en curso de elaboraci\u00f3n, ayuda a los actores pol\u00edticos a comprender mejor el papel del dinero en la democracia de Ben\u00edn y a entablar un di\u00e1logo sobre la orientaci\u00f3n del sistema pol\u00edtico.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Aqe-ej8gj9I\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Los participantes expusieron sus propias impresiones sobre la situaci\u00f3n en Ben\u00edn y presentaron sus recomendaciones para seguir mejorando el estudio. Tras leer el documento, algunos de los diputados pidieron tambi\u00e9n que se legisle para igualar las condiciones y regular eficazmente el gasto en las campa\u00f1as electorales.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Estudio sobre el coste de la pol\u00edtica<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>El estudio sobre el coste de la pol\u00edtica en Ben\u00edn forma parte de una serie de estudios que el NIMD est\u00e1 llevando a cabo en varios de los pa\u00edses de su programa, en colaboraci\u00f3n con grupos de investigaci\u00f3n como ASE\/IREEP, y con el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfd.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fundaci\u00f3n Westminster para la Democracia (WFD)<\/a>. A trav\u00e9s de entrevistas con pol\u00edticos y miembros de partidos pol\u00edticos, ahondamos en el verdadero efecto que el dinero en la pol\u00edtica tiene sobre la inclusi\u00f3n y la participaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica.
