Un simple vistazo a los libros de historia demuestra la feroz lucha que hay que librar en tales circunstancias, desde Gran Breta\u00f1a hasta Ben\u00edn y m\u00e1s all\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>Desde la firma del hist\u00f3rico Acuerdo de Paz en 2016, el contexto de la transici\u00f3n democr\u00e1tica de Colombia ha tenido sus propios retos particulares. El m\u00e1s acuciante de ellos ha sido la continua violencia pol\u00edtica. Entre enero y octubre de 2018, 289 l\u00edderes sociales, pol\u00edticos y comunales colombianos fueron v\u00edctimas de la violencia. De ellos, 130 fueron asesinados. Cifras tan dram\u00e1ticas muestran que los partidos y l\u00edderes deben reflexionar colectivamente sobre c\u00f3mo pueden abordar el tema.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7964\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7964\" style=\"width: 512px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7964\" src=\"http:\/\/nimd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/DSC_6116.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"341\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-7964\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Andr\u00e9s Saenz, director del Proyecto de Acci\u00f3n Democr\u00e1tica por la Paz del NIMD, hablando a los asistentes sobre la importancia de escuchar las perspectivas locales sobre la violencia pol\u00edtica para combatirla.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Esto fue lo que inspir\u00f3 a NIMD Colombia a reunir dos paneles de todo el espectro pol\u00edtico colombiano para debatir el tema de la violencia pol\u00edtica. El 12 de marzo, representantes de organizaciones internacionales, el mundo acad\u00e9mico, organizaciones civiles y congresistas se reunieron en la Universidad Externado de Colombia para celebrar un foro p\u00fablico titulado \"La pol\u00edtica en Colombia: Actividad de Alto Riesgo\".<\/p>\n<p>Al dirigirse a los asistentes en Bogot\u00e1, Patricia Llombart, embajadora de la Uni\u00f3n Europea, invit\u00f3 a los asistentes a trabajar para cambiar la cultura de la confrontaci\u00f3n, por una cultura de construcci\u00f3n colectiva. \"La participaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica implica la promoci\u00f3n de la pluralidad. Esto fortalece, legitima y ampl\u00eda la democracia. Es importante que tanto los elegidos como la oposici\u00f3n asuman su responsabilidad\".<\/p>\n<p>El foro del 12 de marzo acogi\u00f3 dos paneles. En el primero, titulado \"Balances y propuestas para la seguridad del ejercicio de la pol\u00edtica a 7 meses de las elecciones locales\", participaron Camilo Vargas, de la Misi\u00f3n de Observaci\u00f3n Electoral, y el senador Juli\u00e1n Gallo, vocero de la bancada de la Fuerza Alternativa Revolucionaria del Com\u00fan, quienes abogaron por pol\u00edticas gubernamentales preventivas y un pacto pol\u00edtico nacional, respectivamente.<\/p>\n<p>Junto a ellos en el primer panel estuvieron Lorena Zabala, coordinadora del Grupo de Prevenci\u00f3n y Protecci\u00f3n de la Fiscal\u00eda General de la Naci\u00f3n, Ceferino Mosquera, presidente de la Confederaci\u00f3n Nacional de Acci\u00f3n Comunal, y Paola Montilla, profesora de la Universidad Externado.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7958\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7958\" style=\"width: 512px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7958\" src=\"http:\/\/nimd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/panel-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"342\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-7958\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">El primer panel, en el que se debati\u00f3 c\u00f3mo proporcionar seguridad a los l\u00edderes pol\u00edticos de cara a las elecciones locales de finales de a\u00f1o.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00c1ngela Rodr\u00edguez, Directora Ejecutiva de NIMD Colombia, reconoci\u00f3 los esfuerzos de los dos \u00faltimos gobiernos por ofrecer medidas de protecci\u00f3n a los l\u00edderes de las regiones. Sin embargo, enfatiz\u00f3 que se necesitan acciones concretas para evitar la violencia contra quienes deciden participar en pol\u00edtica: \"La violencia pol\u00edtica est\u00e1 afectando a todos los partidos e impacta en zonas rurales y urbanas. Es un problema universal. Es necesario que el gobierno y los partidos se comprometan a proteger a sus l\u00edderes. Desde NIMD, hacemos un llamamiento especial a los partidos pol\u00edticos para que se encarguen de prevenir la violencia por parte de quienes les representan.\"<\/p>\n<p>El segundo panel del acto abord\u00f3 las perspectivas regionales de los retos de seguridad en la pol\u00edtica.
